what is footwork house jam (fw)? first of all it is a long-running club night in moscow, russia, dedicated to real house music and house dance culture. started in 2010 as a small project, influenced by sound and visual esthetics of 90 s house parties in new york and chicago, fw soon has become the biggest creative community of dancers in russia, gaining strong local following and international reputation. it is the birthplace and home for leading moscow dance crews. various artists ep -footwork house jam #1- is a homage to the global house culture and the eponymous moscow-based club night in particular. the idea behind this compilation is to provide the fuel for house dance culture and house movement to expand further on, blurring the boarders and eliminating the prejudices of the present times.

favorite recordings presents this new official album reissue of shine the light of love by googie & tom coppola: a beautiful soul album sublimely produced with a sweet la groove! thomas wilkinson coppola (aka tom coppola) is a pianist and arranger, known for being a principal member of the funky prog-jazz group air (not to be confused with the french duo). he began working as a musician in manhattan in the 1960s, where he met carolyn brooks (aka googie coppola). if they only released one self-titled album with air in 1970, and shine the light of love as a duo in 1980, these two amazing talents have collaborated with artists such as herbie mann, lenny white, flora purim, ray barreto or jeremy steig to name just a few.

the first years, from his first album in 1976 to his 7th in the middle of the 80�s, were fuelled with an exemplary sense of creativity and a free-spirit vision. against everyones advice, cerrone was never reluctant to compose long and pure trance disco tracks, not exactly radio-friendly at the time, but which did incredibly well because they encapsulated the hedonism of the day and were far more than a trend. for instance, love in c minor and supernature have become unbeatable classics, featured regularly in the best pop, disco or dance selections, such a success would have burnt most of the others wings, whose career would have been ruined. at the beginning of the 80s, when he decided to unleash his creativity on stage, cerrone managed to rebound with you are the one studio album.

after running dennis ferrer�s objektivity imprint, touring on the international dj circuit and building an impressive portfolio of remixing credits and collaborative releases over many years, andré hommen is now spreading his wings as a fully-fledged artist.

a black, very black, vinyl record which stands out compared to previous releases on limited. the sixth chapter of andrea belluzzi�s label is titled black series because its objective is to devastate the ordinary lines of techno and let loose the dark black wings which are the base of the project. on side a, mike storm and transientx4 lead us through a gradual scale of mysterious and mechanical loops capable of hypnotizing while increasing the level of pathos. this culminates the gradual build up to the third track, produced by andrea belluzzi, with a perfect balance between dark techno and ambient in a mental voyage which seems to never lose itself during the entire 7 minutes with the perfect energy for the dancefloor. the record ends with the work of ken karter which, although is strictly mental and super hypnotic, manages to offer a distinct danceable rhythm marked by low frequencies which remain slow but captivating with a wide array of sounds which grow without boring the listener.
